Select a group of related standards (sometimes called a domain or strand). An example could be “Addition & Subtraction.” Identify the following: State: Standard Group (Domain/Strand): Website URL for your state standards: Complete the table below according to the following specifications for each column: • • • Standard: Enter the exact verbiage of the standard or group of related standards (domain/strand). Explanation: Explain in your own words what that standard means at that grade level. Teaching Example: Provide an example of how you might teach that standard to students at that grade level using a manipulative. Note: Do not include an example of a math problem that fits within the standard.
